Lodging recommendation for Thanksgiving family trip to Tennessee? - tennessee family vacations lodging
I am planning a trip for my family of four, we (the children are in our 20s) in Tennessee for the holidays, preferably no more than a few hours from Nashville. We are looking for the submission of recommendations, probably something along the lines of a high-end gaming in nature, but not as a "nuisance". We would do us some options of things, what will the dinner in one of the main building / similar position to the outdoor activities - riding, ie, beautiful views, so please let me if you have any recommendations? Thank you very much!

Gatlinburg is 3.5 hours from Nashville, but it's worth it!
Hope that helps ... Good luck and have fun!
Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg is a very nice neighborhood. It is very touristy and has enjoyed a lot in common for adults and children, and everyone can do. If you are interested, I 1,3, and 4 bedroom cabins available to rent and save a lot of money compared to a hotel. Write me at: dreamvacationgetaways@yahoo.com
OK, there are few options available that are closer to Nashville.

The main disadvantages of this camp is not really the "natural" aspect of what you are looking for. However, only a short drive from Interstate 40 to the east is a region with many people like Percy Priest Lake. Here is a description of the lake:
J Percy Priest Lake offers a variety of outdoor travel activities to more than 5,000,000 visitors per year, including fishing, camping, boating, canoeing, swimming, skiing, hiking to horseback riding and much more. J. Percy Priest Lake is an artificial lake in north central Tennessee. He is trained by J. Percy Priest Dam, located six to seven miles from Rio Piedras. The dam (clearly visible from Interstate 40) is located about 10 miles (16 km) east of Nashville residents, and with the lake of 42 miles (68 km) long filled. The lake and damare named after Rep. Percy Priest. J. Percy Priest Lake covers parts of Davidson, Rutherford and Wilson counties and consists of 14.200 acres (57 km ²) of water at an elevation of 490 meters swimming in summer (149 m) above sea level. The water is used by 18,854 acres (76 km ²) of public land, 10,000 acres (40 km ²) are surrounded dedicated to wildlife management. The Office of Natural Resource Management (615-889-1975) has three campgrounds (Anderson Road, seven points, buttons and Poole), eleven sites day-use/picnic ... "

Not far from Highway 40 (east) in all.
I think it's the best of both options, because in some (but not all) of the greatest attractions of Nashville, but within a short drive to reach inter-dam and the lake and everything it has to offer.

Option 2 - If you are willing to travel a little. Approximately 30 miles east of Nashville, is a state park that all sorts of stalls is so good. Here are the Cedars of Lebanon State Park
